You really want to know about me?! I’m flattered! Thank you in advance for your interest.

As the blog name suggests, I’m Steve Wakefield and until recently, I was an overworked, underpaid Telesales Advisor/Knowledge Coach/IT Analyst in a Call Centre for a very profitable UK company. (Yep, I really carried out all of those roles but got only one lousy salary!)

They claimed to value my hard work and flexibility, and continually dangled the carrot of more pay, future bonuses etc, but after 3 years of loyal service, they repayed me by making me redundant along with 45 of my close colleagues.

Now it might sound like I’m bitter (and I’d probably be justified in being so) however, I’m really not.  It’s given me the opportunity to follow my dream which is to be my own boss, work when I want to and earn more money then I ever would in in a crappy call centre job.

You see, for the past 5 years I’ve been trying to find a way out of the rat race in my spare time by dabbling in Internet Marketing.  I’ve tried selling on eBay, dropshipping, every get rich quick scheme you can name, bought every eBook that promised to make me a fortune and invested in some pricey membership sites that failed to deliver. You name it, I’ve probably done it!

I’ve also tried following some of the gurus in the past through coaching programs, but most of what they teach is just too advanced for the newbie or they miss out some of the more basic steps that they think you should already know!

For everything I’ve put in, I’ve seen very little return financially and I’ve been close to throwing in the towel on quite a few occasions and I know I’m not alone in this feeling, so if you feel like that now, trust me… you are not alone.

I’m glad to say, something spared me on and I like to think I live my life by the motto, “Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win!”

Since losing my job I have a lot more spare time on my hands, so I’ve been able to reflect on what I’ve been doing right and wrong and have started taking positive steps to make my online buisness work and prosper.  I have to make this work because the redundancy money is fast running out and I have a mortgage to pay!

Okay, so why am I telling you this?!

Shouldn’t I be telling you, “I’ve just made a thousand dollars today and I didn’t lift a finger… and if you buy my latest eBook and I’ll show you how?”

Shouldn’t I be trying to convince you that I’m an Internet Marketing guru who can show you exactly how to make a 6 figure income like me?! ….  That way you’d buy my products, right?

Well, I’m not going to do that because it would be an out and out lie!  Sure, I’ve got a few clickbank sales under my belt have made a fair bit of money on eBay over the years, but as far as I’m concerned I’m a relative IM newbie who’s still learning the ropes!

Thankfully, I have a fantastic mentor in Alex Jeffreys as I recently signed up to his coaching program and I’m so glad I did.

Alex earns hundreds of thousands of dollars per year and now a fortunate few are being taught how he does it.  What makes Alex stand out from other experts I’ve tried to follow is that he is very open and direct about how to start and grow an online business and doesn’t treat you like you should already know the basics.

He also remembers what it was like to struggle to make money online, because just like me, he struggled to make any real money for a few years but now has a massive loyal, following and earns a fortune!

So I’m on a journey to financial freedom and I want to take as many of you with me as possible.

I’m going to document my journey so that hopefully, other struggling newbies out there can finally understand some of the processes you need to follow to become a success.

So what qualifies me to advise you on how to make money online?

1. I’m being mentored by IM Expert Alex Jeffreys who already mades hundreds of thousands of per year through Internet Marketing and is now showing me exactly how he does it, so I’m going to use what I learn to help you succeed.
2. As I say, I’m no guru (yet ) however, I have learnt a lot over the last 5 years and have also made a lot of mistakes along the way.  I can tell you all of the pitfalls so you don’t make the same mistakes as me.
3. Most people trying to make money online are closer to where I am than where the gurus are (ie, not making much or any money)  Therefore, it’s much easier for me to “give you a leg up” and thats exaclty what I intend to do – As I learn, I’ll teach you!

I don’t intend to work for anyone else EVER AGAIN, and from what Alex has taught me so far, I know my dream is going to become a reality.  In fact, as I write this I can see evidence it’s already happening!

I’m going to be as open as possible as the mentoring goes along and I will share my successes and failures so that everyone can benefit and start making some money (trust me, there won’t be many failures with Alex in the driving seat!)

I therefore, hope you’ll keep coming back to my blog, because there’s going to be loads of value and free content so you can “piggy back” off my success.
