My You Tube Video Has Doubled My Blog Traffic Overnight!
I’ve finally submitted my video for Alex Jeffreys coaching video competition and amazingly it’s had 43 views after just a few hours!
I was so scared of appearing on video, but I’ve already had some positive feedback from Alex….
hey steve,
what a FAB video mate,
serious – had me watching close till the end,
in video just be YOU
and that video was YOU and it was great
ive just sent it to Tom Beal – over at MikeFilsaime.com
to watch – as he taught me what it says on your white board
dont get it right just get it going
talk soon steve
alex
And Tom Beal ( http://tombeal.com/ ) has commented on it too, so I’m a very happy man – The hangover I have after going to the Mathew Street Festival yesterday just became much more bearable!
Now, it’s never going to win any awards for artistic or cinematic merit, but something in it must have captured peoples attention, because my blog traffic has doubled over night!
Needless to say, I’m going to be using video a lot more in the future to help drive traffic.
You can check it out here :-

I’d love to hear what you think as well

Steve — that is amazing! I started to do a video and decided I just looked too dorky to proceed. You have me rethinking my ‘strategy.’ Great post! -Norene

Hi Norene! I was terrified to do this video, and I still cringe a bit when I watch it back, but it seems that it’s not as bad as I thought because I’ve had some really positive feedback! As Alex keeps telling us, just be yourself. I know it’s hard as we’re always our own biggest critic. I’d love to see some of your attempts and give you some constructive feedback before you post them to the world?! Let me know if I can help in any way and thanks for your kind words.
Speak soon,
Steve
Hey Steve,
Just watched your video, and I’ve got to say I thought it was great, and fun to watch too. I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about, you’re gonna be fine mate.
What did you use to edit it, if you don’t mind me asking? It all looked very cool and professional.
Speak to you later,
Paul.

Thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed it mate.
I started using Camtasia Studio to edit it as it’s so versatile, but half way through, I started to get a weird error message, so had to use windows movie maker for some of it.
Thanks again for your support, it was tough getting over the nerves, but the positive feedback so far has been a real boost.
Speak soon,
Steve
Hey Steve,
Yeah Camtasia can be a bit buggy now and then. I get a black screen sometimes and can’t see what I’m doing while editing.
I’ll have to try windows movie maker, seeing as it’s sitting on my computer unused.
Thanks for the info,
Paul.
