Hi Steve,
I’m a fellow student on the Alex Jeffreys coaching programme.
This video has really helped me understand more about a process I wasn’t too clear – so many thanks for posting it.
Just a quick question, when you create the video review, is it a video of you talking to the camera, or a slide show as above?
Hope to speak soon,
Andrew.
Hi Andrew and thanks for the positive comments
Either method would be great or even a combination of both… Just get creative with it!
Both methods have their benefits, for example, talking to the camera creates real trust and as our Mentor AJ keeps drilling into us, it’s important for your readers/viewers to know you, like you and trust you, so simply being able to put a face to your name is a great way to start to build up that trust. As a sidenote, people will only trust you if they perceive you to be genuine, so make sure you really believe in the product you are reviewing because in a video your viewers may pick up on every negative piece of body language and untruth!
The great benefit of a slide show style video is that you can back up what you’re talking about with images, on screen text instructions, flowcharts etc, which all help your viewers understand the process you are trying to teach. I also find that if I have slides ready, they act as a prompt for me while I’m doing the presentation and keep me on track, therefore less waffle!
Speak soon,
Steve
